Champagne Yves Jacques is a family estate rooted in the heart of the Coteaux du Petit Morin, with its story beginning in 1932 when Gilberte and André Jacques settled in Baye and planted their first vineyard. In 1962, Gisèle and Yves Jacques expanded the estate and founded the family brand. In 1982, Valérie and Rémi Jacques took over, continuing the expansion with new terroirs and a dynamic commercial spirit. Today, Virginie and Quentin, along with Pauline and Bastien, carry on the family heritage and savoir faire, ensuring the legacy thrives for future generations.
The estate now spans 17 hectares across the Vallée de la Marne, the Côte des Blancs, and the Côte des Bars in the Aube, including prestigious Grand Cru villages such as Aÿ and Chouilly. The vineyard is planted with all three classic Champagne varieties in nearly equal proportions: Meunier (37%), Chardonnay (32%), and Pinot Noir (31%).
As independent growers, the family believes that careful vineyard management is the most important oenological act. At Champagne Yves Jacques, the vines are cultivated with meticulous care and a strong commitment to sustainability. In 2021, the estate officially recognized these efforts with dual certification: Viticulture Durable en Champagne (VDC) and Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE). The wines are crafted in Baye, in the family cellars, and always in respect of the traditional method.
Historically, Champagne Yves Jacques has distributed its wines to private customers throughout France. In 2022, after a decade as export manager for another Champagne house, the current generation joined the family estate, bringing new energy and vision. This inspired the creation of a dedicated professional range, offering a new selection of Champagnes that trace the family’s history through an exploration of their diverse terroirs.
Champagne Yves Jacques is a celebration of family, terroir, and the art of sustainable winemaking, offering Champagnes of balance, finesse, and true authenticity.
