Champagne François Secondé is a unique family estate located in the legendary Grand Cru village of Sillery, at the heart of the Montagne de Reims. François Secondé, the founder, began his journey in the vineyards at age 14, working as an apprentice and later as a vineyard laborer before acquiring his first plot in 1972. In 1976, with the support of his wife Anne Marie, he took the bold step of renting additional land and launching his own production. Today, the estate is recognized as the only Récoltant Manipulant in Sillery and the sole producer of pure Sillery Champagne.

The domaine cultivates 5.5 hectares of old vines, averaging 40 years, across the prestigious terroirs of Sillery, Mailly Champagne, Puisieulx, and Verzenay. The vineyard is planted with two thirds Pinot Noir and one third Chardonnay, reflecting the classic profile of the Montagne de Reims. The estate practices sustainable viticulture, respecting both nature and the people who work the land.

The history of Sillery is deeply intertwined with the world of fine wine. Since the early 17th century, Sillery was renowned as one of the most sought after white wines in Europe, celebrated at royal courts and praised by connoisseurs for its exceptional quality. François Secondé continues this legacy, crafting Champagnes that are both faithful to tradition and expressive of their terroir.

In the cellar, the wines are vinified with precision: fermentation in tanks, malolactic fermentation, and aging on lees for 18 to 24 months (or longer for special cuvées). The house maintains a perpetual reserve started in 1982, enriching the complexity of the blends. All wines are hand riddled and bottled in small quantities, ensuring the highest quality.
