Champagne Eric Taillet is a family estate nestled in the heart of the Marne Valley, where four generations have shaped the house’s unique identity and philosophy. The journey began in 1930, with the first bottles marketed by Daniel Taillet and Annette Régnier in 1961. Today, under the stewardship of Eric Taillet and with the involvement of his children Dylan and Léna, the estate continues to evolve while honoring its deep roots and commitment to terroir.
Eric Taillet describes his approach as a passionate participation in “the work of life by freeing and restoring a sense of the land.” This philosophy is reflected in every aspect of the estate’s work, from vine to bottle. The vineyards are cultivated with respect for the environment and in harmony with nature, aiming for exceptional harvests that yield exceptional Champagne.
For many years, the estate has practiced living soil viticulture, avoiding herbicides and fertilizers and focusing on enriching the soil with organic matter. This approach encourages microbial life, deep root development, and water retention, essential for revealing the true character of the terroir. Soil management is a priority, with traditional plowing and careful practices to avoid compaction and stimulate microorganisms.
