Domaine Les Monts Fournois represents the next chapter in Champagne’s grower tradition, led by rising talent Juliette Alips. Born into a family deeply rooted in the region, Juliette’s passion for winemaking was nurtured from a young age, guided by the mentorship of her cousins, Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche, renowned growers themselves. Her journey through famed estates, including stints with Louis Latour in Burgundy, G.D. Vajra in Piedmont, and more than a year learning the craft at Roederer Estate, has imbued her work with technical rigor and artistry. Graduating from oenology school in Beaune in 2020, Juliette brings modern ideas and hands-on expertise to her nascent domaine.
Situated in the northern part of the Montagne de Reims, in the highly regarded subzone La Grande Montagne, Domaine Les Monts Fournois is focused on the Premier Cru vineyard of its namesake. With her cousins’ support and decades of family connections among Champagne’s top growers, Juliette is able to source a small selection of extraordinary vintage Grand Cru champagnes during the domaine’s early years.
The estate is proud to present its inaugural release: a trio of rare Grand Cru cuvées. These include a vibrant 2015 Côte Grand Cru from the Côtes des Blancs, an elegant 2016 from Oger Grand Cru, and a coveted 2012 Montagne Grand Cru from the Montagne de Reims. Each bottle reflects Juliette’s deep respect for tradition, meticulous farming, and inspired blending, offering a glimpse of the domaine’s ambition and the promise of its future focus: Les Monts Fournois Premier Cru.
Domaine Les Monts Fournois invites Champagne lovers to discover this new vision, marked by youthful energy, family mentorship, and a quest for terroir-driven excellence.
