Domaine Jean-Marc Gilet is an acclaimed family-run estate located in Parçay-Meslay, at the heart of the Vouvray appellation near Tours in the Loire Valley. Founded in 1914, this domaine has grown from just two hectares to an impressive 27 hectares, carried forward by generations of dedication to exceptional Chenin Blanc wines and deep respect for the land.

Jean-Marc Gilet, now at the helm, blends tradition with forward-thinking practices, championing sustainability and ecological responsibility. The estate is managed according to organic farming principles and is in the process of achieving HVE (High Environmental Value) certification, reflecting a commitment to biodiversity, reduced chemical use, and preservation of the environment. Jean-Marc extends his eco-conscious approach to every detail, selecting innovative French suppliers and maintaining local, short distribution channels as an independent winegrower.

All wines are vinified and aged on-site in the domaine’s historic troglodytic cellars, preserving purity and expression of the Vouvray terroir. The range covers the complete array of Vouvray styles: lively, mineral-rich Sec, aromatic Demi-Sec and luscious Moelleux, alongside rare liquoreux such as the iconic “La Tardive,” aged in oak for greater complexity. Domaine Jean-Marc Gilet is also recognized for its elegant sparkling Vouvray Brut and Demi-Sec, created in the méthode traditionnelle and known for their refined bubbles and freshness.

Visitors are welcomed year-round to taste new vintages, explore the cellars, and experience first-hand the passion and heritage that define Domaine Jean-Marc Gilet, one of Vouvray’s true artisanal benchmarks.
