Champagne Christophe Dechannes is a family estate rooted in the heart of the Côte des Bar, in the historic village of Les Riceys. Les Riceys is unique in France, being the only village to produce three A.O.C: Champagne, Rosé des Riceys, and Coteaux Champenois. This exceptional terroir, recognized for its clay limestone soils and breathtaking landscapes, is renowned for the quality and diversity of its wines.

The Dechannes family has been cultivating vines for three generations. Roland Dechannes began making his own Champagne in 1973, and today, Christophe Dechannes continues the tradition alongside his wife Christine and their children Romain and Laura. The estate spans 9 hectares, primarily planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which are the signature varieties of their Champagnes.

Every step of production, from hand picking the grapes to commercialization, is managed with respect for traditional methods and a commitment to a reasoned, environmentally friendly approach. The estate is currently in conversion to HVE Level 3 (High Environmental Value), reflecting a strong dedication to sustainable viticulture.

The estate’s labels feature a bicentenary tree, symbolizing liberty, life, growth, power, and strength, a tribute to the family’s heritage and values.

Champagne Christophe Dechannes invites you to discover the art of Champagne, crafted with passion, tradition, and respect for the land.
