Champagne Brigitte Beaufort is a family estate created in 2008 in Bouzy, at the heart of the Montagne de Reims, by Brigitte Beaufort with the support of her two children Anne Louise and Pierre Herbert, who remain by her side to this day. Brigitte’s journey is unique, she was not born into the Champagne world, but her passion and perseverance led her to become a celebrated winemaker. After 25 years as an IT project manager, she took over her late husband’s Grand Cru vineyard and returned to school to earn her viticultural diploma, fully dedicating herself to the estate in 2008.
The estate is defined by its commitment to authenticity and sustainability. Each year, Brigitte Beaufort crafts a limited selection of micro cuvées, all from the historic “CŒUR DE GALIPPE” vineyard, a parcel revered by local elders for its exceptional quality. With a production limited to just 6,000 bottles annually (far below the estate’s potential capacity), each cuvée is a unique expression of the vintage, blending the power of Bouzy’s Pinot Noir and the elegance of its Chardonnay.
Brigitte Beaufort’s approach is rooted in patience and minimal intervention. The wines are aged for a minimum of seven years in the cellar, well beyond the standard for vintage Champagne, allowing them to develop remarkable complexity and finesse. The estate is certified Haute Valeur Environnementale and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne, reflecting a deep commitment to preserving biodiversity and limiting environmental impact. Herbicides are banned, phytosanitary products are strictly limited, and ancestral cultivation methods like natural grassing and tillage are favored.
Each cuvée is crafted to reflect the unique character of the vintage and the exceptional terroir of Bouzy, a village with a winemaking history stretching back to the 6th century and recognized as Grand Cru since 1895.
Champagne Brigitte Beaufort is more than a winery, it is a family adventure, a celebration of passion, and a commitment to excellence and sustainability in Champagne.
