Champagne Beerens stands as a testament to the dedication and innovation of a family that has nurtured its estate since 1862, with six generations passing down ancestral knowledge while embracing the advancements of each era. The legacy is alive in the stories, like that of Anne Laure’s grandmother, Lucette, who in the 1960s was one of the first women to ride a high clearance straddler tractor in the region, and in the pioneering spirit of Anne Laure’s father, who transformed the estate by launching the ALBERT BEERENS brand and introducing the first horizontal winepress in the Aube department during the 1980s. His relentless pursuit of excellence culminated in a new production site in 2013, a milestone made possible by Anne Laure’s dynamic involvement and a shared vision for bold, forward thinking challenges.

Today, the estate’s 7 hectares of vineyards, spread across Arrentières, Bar sur Aube, Colombé le Sec, Colombé la Fosse, and Ailleville, are cultivated with five main grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Meunier, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris. Each plot is carefully matched with the variety best suited to its unique soil and terrain, ensuring the vines thrive and express their full potential. The estate’s commitment to sustainable viticulture is reflected in its Terra Vitis certification since 2013 and its transition to organic agriculture, initiated in 2021 and fully certified by 2024. Anne Laure Beerens has led this transformation, training in essential oils, electro culture, and healthy culture to adapt to the challenges posed by climate change and diseases such as downy mildew.

The philosophy at Champagne Beerens is rooted in respect for the land and a holistic approach to viticulture. By nurturing the biotope, implementing preventive and curative treatments tailored to the vines’ needs, and fostering biodiversity, the estate ensures that the soil remains vibrant and fertile. This dedication results in wines of remarkable complexity, vitality, and subtle aromas, original, living expressions of a terroir cared for with passion and expertise. Under Anne Laure’s guidance, Champagne Beerens continues to evolve, producing cuvées that are both generous and refined, and embodying the harmonious balance between tradition and innovation.
